About Betooned

Betooned Storytelling Agency was founded four years ago, and since then we have completed around 40 projects: animated films, 2D series, title sequences for film and TV, and social media content.Over the years, more than 100 people have worked on our projects: producers, animators, illustrators, composers, sound designers, and editors. Our films and videos have reached hundreds of thousands of viewers. Our work has been released on streaming platforms, screened at festivals (Asolo Art Film Festival in Italy), and featured in digital media.

My name is Sasha Potapova.

For over ten years I have worked in media: I started as a film director and screenwriter, took part in Russian and international festivals, then moved into animation and content production. Along the way I have worked with major brands and platforms and grown from solo projects to running my own studio and team. Four years ago I founded Betooned, and since then the agency has become more than a business for me: it is a way to connect stories, cultures and people through animation and other formats that link an author with an audience.

The name comes from a simple idea: be + toon(ed), "to become animated."We are based in Tbilisi and are currently relocating the studio to Paris to build a stronger presence in the European market.Today we work not within a single format but within a story, whether it is a series, a brand campaign, a documentary, or stories that cross genres and platforms. We are actively exploring markets in Asia, the CIS and Europe, building Betooned as a bridge between cultures.
